Daredevil's Food Cake with Mocha Buttercream Icing

1/4 teaspoon salt
2 1/4 cups sifted all purpose flour
2 large eggs, at room temperature
5 to 6 tablespoons extra strength coffee or espresso (or 1 tablespoon instant coffee powder dissolved in 1/2 cup hot water)
