  • 1 .5 cup Khoya available at Indian stores in frozen section and I prefer the brand "Nanak" or you can make use milk powder also about 1 cup + 1/3 cup
  • 1 .5 cup Maple syrup
  • 1 teaspoon Cardamom powder
  • 1 teaspoon Rose water or essence,optional
  • 1/2 cup water
  • 1/4 teaspoon Baking soda
  • 2 tablespoons All purpose flour
  • 2 tablespoons Ghee
  • handfuls Strands of saffron
  • Pistachios or sliced almonds or rose petals to garnish
