1½ pounds Yukon Gold or other all purpose potatoes, peeled and cut into ¼ inch thick slices
2 cups firmly packed fresh basil leaves
2 garlic cloves, minced
3 tablespoons olive oil
Salt and freshly ground black pepper
¼ cup pine nuts
½ cup fresh bread crumbs
½ cup pesto, homemade (see below) or store bought
